Sorry, item 1: A gig.
2nd January at the Musician, Clyde St, Leicester.
More details to follow.
Completely irrelevant to anything musical, but if you’re a driver, could you please remember the following:
Fog lights are only for use in dense fog in order that a vehicle approaching from behind is aware if your presence. Once you have someone behind you turn the fog light OFF.
Also, when you are coming off a roundabout don’t continue to signal right. This is extremely frustrating to those who are trying to merge with traffic.
Thank you.
I sometimes worry about music and sound. And the difference between the two.
It is amazing that certain pieces of music - collections of notes - that I have not heard previously evoke an emotional repsonce in me. The conditioning behind this is astonishing. I also salivate when my master rings a bell. As long as it is an Eb.
…from cruising the med, and thinking about the last song that got away. Our tailor made studio is presumably dismantled and no longer do we all have the recording schedules in the diary. We must record this song, it really is excellent!
So, recording seems to be ‘done and dusted’ and I am feeling a little sad. I quite enjoyed the whole experience (being a newbie to all this recording malarkie) - the food, the camaraderie, the food, the gallons of tea (and coffee before noon - 1 sugar, thanks!), the food. It was a bit like going to work, only fun. Mind you, if BP ever hit the big time I’m sure my position in the band would be first to go, replaced by a ‘proper’ violinist who can actually play in all those awkward keys Andy writes in. For the time being though, that over-dub stuff is great! Sounds like we’re a whole string section almost in tune…
Looking forward to hearing and seeing the end result.
