Alert! Alert! There is a leak!
ButterflyPolite have been recording in a secret bunker, with n.d.a.’s signed and security staff on the door. If your name is not down, you are not coming in. So what is that I hear, coming from the link just below these words?
It is a brand spanking new recording, somehow leaked from Chateau Butterfly onto the world wide webs. The song, “If not tonight” is almost certainly from the fabled ‘Doug-and-Kerry’s-Lounge’ session.
Music detectives have picked over the recording and have noticed that as well as Sarah’s lovely singing, Jon’s lovely guitaring and Dan’s lovely percussioning, the song also features Doug playing glockenspiel, harmonica and virtuoso woodblock, Andy making his banjo debut and Kerry playing clarinet. The Special Ks String Section also get to work hard, and the boys provide straw-boater-style backing vocals.
If you download this, and listen to it in advance of it’s release then the internet police will probably descend on you with virtual truncheons. You have been warned. (But it might just be worth the risk)!
