Gift/Advert: Last Forever.

Last Forever.

This one is not live.  That is not because we are unable to perform it live, but rather because I thought I would give away the version from “TheMessWeMade”.  It must be the mulled wine that is making us so generous.

This song sees Sarah in her role as devastating femme fatale, and who’s soothing voice just makes the hurtful words all the more painful.  This recording features trombone playing by Tim Smart, who must be good, becasue I saw him on ‘Top Of The Pops’.  I got my money’s worth out of him in the middle eight section (starting with ‘You said the love you gave away…’) which I wanted to sound like a colliary brass band, playing Christmas songs.  And I am pleased to say that in the cold light of a frosty December I think it does.

The ending coda (where Andy mistakingly thinks he is a ‘featured vocalist’) is a tribute to all things 70s pop.  And the steal (sorry… ‘quotation’) and is thanks to 10CC.

P.S. If the start of the song seems odd, then that is because you have not got the CD - where it all makes perfect sence as it crossfades from the previous song like some scary prog-rock-concept-album.  You’ll need to head over to the ‘BUY’ page to understand how it works properly.  You could do that now.  Go on.  You know you want to.

But until then…
