Gift: Unnatural Selection

Unnatural Selection

Ironically dubbed ‘the hit’ within the band, this is great fun to play and pretty much always features in the live sets.  It features on the Bursting Bubbles EP and utterly fails to credit Dan for his playing on it.  Consider this remedied here.

Personnel:  Dan plays djembe, and other percussion, Sarah sings and plays Bass, Kerry and Kate pluck their violins wildly (and bow them carefully), Doug glockenspiels the solo to “Last Christmas” by Wham (true), Jon plays guitar, and Andy plays unnecessary 2nd guitar so he doesn’t feel left out.

Please learn the instrumental bit (played on guitar and glockenspiel) and ‘la la la lar’ along near the end.  Sarah fails to do it on this recoring for fear of sounding like a drunken Simple Minds fan.

Ahem, erm… Andy… The last xmas riff is played in “Hope Springs”!

I tried squeeze “edge of heaven” in to this track but it just didn’t fit.

    So’s your face.

O.K., well technically you may be right, but are we really going to sit here arguing about who mis-credited who’s glockenspiel solo?
