iSore.
I was at Doug’s house, complaing about the state of iTunes and why I consider some of it’s business practices immoral. Me ranting - nothing new there then. As an example I started randomly searching for songs that I would like to buy - and illustrating that it offered nothing like the range of material I would like. Indeed I would like it to be able to supply we with the songs I can’t easily buy on physical formats. Instead it offers considerably less than I can get on CD - Songs from other territories are unavailable, so importing physical CDs is the only option, deleted CDs and older material are generally not avialable, pushing me to the second hand market. Whilst I have no moral objection to buying second hand (and am all for the enviromental issure), it doesn’t financially benefit the artist - where potentially an extensive iTunes back catalogue might.
Anyway whilst proving my point over and over again, I found the iTunes does stock a Butterfly Polite song. The song is “Hope Springs (arts & leisure foundation remix)”. It was released as the A-side of a 7″ single a couple of years ago and is the deranged cousin of the song “Hope Springs” from the “Mess We Made”.
A quick Google search and I’ve found that you can listen to this song on LastFM (japan) at http://www.lastfm.jp/music/Butterfly+Polite
But the problem with hearing the song on the internet is you don’t get the even-stranger remix of “Ex-Lover” of the (quite brilliant) art work that accompanied the single … which I have put here for your enjoyment http://www.geocities.com/uglifruit/AA-03x.jpg
I should google myself more often (but I might go blind).
